House Rules
By purchasing a movie ticket or entering the premises of the Sándor Korda Cinema (hereinafter: the Cinema), visitors accept the provisions of these House Rules. The purpose of the House Rules is to ensure a civilized, safe, and undisturbed cinema experience. A copy of the House Rules is posted on the cinema premises and is also available on the cinema's official platforms.
1. General Provisions
- By purchasing a cinema ticket, visitors accept the House Rules.
- A copy of the House Rules can be found on the cinema premises as well as on the cinema's website.
- The Cinema reserves the right to modify or cancel the screening schedule, showtimes, and performances.
- All persons on the Cinema premises are required to adhere to the general rules of civilized behavior.
- All visitors use the Cinema's services at their own risk.
- Taking photos, audio, or video recordings on the Cinema premises is strictly prohibited in order to protect the copyrights of the rights holders. Violation of this prohibition may result in civil and criminal consequences.
- The Cinema assumes no responsibility for the content featured in movies, trailers, or advertisements.
2. Auditorium and Seating
- The auditorium has 171 fixed seats.
- The ticket price for fixed seats is HUF 1,800.
- If the fixed seats are fully booked, additional mobile seats may be sold at a price of HUF 1,700.
- In the front row of the rear section of the auditorium, there are 3 designated spaces reserved for persons with disabilities.
- The Cinema building is fully wheelchair accessible.
- The Cinema does not sell discounted tickets; all tickets are sold at a uniform flat rate.
- All visitors must purchase a valid ticket for the Cinema's performances.
3. Ticket Purchase and Validation
- When purchasing tickets online, please always verify the title, date, and start time of the screening. After an online ticket purchase, our system automatically sends a confirmation email. Please check your email details. If you find any discrepancies, please contact our customer service using our contact details.
- Reserved tickets that have not been collected will be automatically cancelled by the system 5 minutes before the start of the performance.
- After leaving the box office, complaints regarding tickets can only be made prior to the start of the performance.
- In the case of in-person ticket purchases, tickets can be refunded before the start of the performance.
- In the case of online ticket purchases, tickets can be cancelled up to 1 hour before the start of the performance.
- We are unable to refund the amount of online ticket purchases if you buy the ticket within 1 hour before the start of the movie, do not collect your purchased ticket, or provide incorrect information.
- If a performance is cancelled or interrupted due to technical reasons, the Cinema will refund the ticket price or exchange it for another screening.
- The Cinema assumes no responsibility for any incidental costs incurred due to a potential delay or schedule change (e.g., parking, travel).
4. Age Rating and Protection of Minors
- The Cinema displays the age ratings of the screened films in compliance with the effective Hungarian legislation.
- The age rating for films is determined according to the official regulatory system.
- Attending screenings of films not recommended for audiences under 16 or 18 is permitted for viewers under 12 only in the presence and under the responsibility of a parent or legal guardian.
- The Cinema reserves the right to verify age and may request the presentation of an identification document if necessary.
- Everyone is required to purchase a ticket for the Cinema's performances (including police officers, military personnel, journalists, and children over the age of 2).
5. Concessions and Consumption
- Only products purchased at the Cinema's concession stand may be consumed inside the auditorium.
- In the event of a cancelled performance, the Cinema will not refund the cost of products purchased at the concession stand.
6. Prohibited Items and Behavior
- Bringing items onto the Cinema premises that are hazardous or disruptive to other visitors (such as laser pointers, sound amplification devices, flags) is prohibited.
- Cinema staff are authorized to warn individuals disrupting order and, if necessary, remove them from the Cinema premises.
- The person causing damage to Cinema property shall bear full financial liability for such damages.
7. Safety and Liability
- Smoking is prohibited on the Cinema premises.
- Bringing animals into the Cinema is prohibited, with the exception of guide dogs.
- The Cinema assumes no liability for valuables brought onto its premises.
- The Cinema assumes no liability for damages resulting from potential conflicts arising between visitors.
8. Surveillance System
- A security camera system operates on the Cinema premises for property protection and security purposes.
- The recorded footage is handled in accordance with the effective data protection laws.
- The recordings may only be released based on an official request from the authorities.
9. Closing Provisions
- For matters not regulated in these House Rules, the effective Hungarian legislation shall apply.
- The Cinema reserves the right to modify the House Rules.
